Philo, IL – Kyle Schuett took home the win on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Highland County Fair Race where 24 cars entered the event. Kyle started fourth in his heat race and came across the line in first which qualified him to start the feature on the outside of the front row. Kyle took the lead on the first lap of the 20 lap event and never looked back to claim his first victory of the 2014 season.
Schuett Racing then moved on to Wayne County Speedway in Wayne City, Illinois on Friday, July 25th for the $5,000 to win Corn Husker Nationals where 39 cars entered the event. Kyle would start the 9K Illiana Insurance Agency-sponsored, Shively-powered Sawyer Chassis outside of the front row for the 22 car A-Main after winning his heat race. Falling back with a tight-handling race car on the 1/8th mile bullring, Kyle held on to finish in the sixth position of a competitive field of cars. “We had a good car, but we missed the setup by a little bit. All in all, it was still a good night,” said Kyle Schuett.
The next night saw the team heading to Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion, IL for POWRi’s first visit of the season where 44 cars would enter the event. Kyle passed one car in his heat to finish fourth. After all the points were calculated, Kyle would see himself starting third in the semi- feature where only three advance. He ran third the whole race to lock himself into the feature where he would start 21st in the 22 car A-Main. As soon as the green flag fell, Kyle began maneuvering his way through traffic. After 30 laps were completed, Kyle would cross the line in the sixth positon.
